1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging LA Compliance for consulting services, or by using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

LA Compliance provides hourly consulting services to help contractors and subcontractors file certified payroll, reconcile union fringe benefits, manage documentation, and stay current on prevailing wage compliance and related deadlines for construction projects in Los Angeles, including submissions on the City of Los Angeles and LAUSD contractor portals.

3. Authorized Contacts

You are responsible for designating which individuals at your company are authorized to submit payroll data and documentation to us on your behalf, and for promptly notifying us of any changes to that authorization.

4. Accuracy of Submitted Data

You are responsible for the accuracy of the payroll, wage, and employee data you submit. While we calculate and format reports based on the information provided, the underlying accuracy of that information remains your responsibility as the employer of record.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse our services, including attempting to access data belonging to another company or submitting knowingly false compliance information.

6. Intellectual Property

All content and materials provided as part of our website and consulting deliverables remain our property or that of our licensors. Your project and compliance data remains yours.

7. Limitation of Liability

LA Compliance provides tools to support your compliance process but does not act as your attorney or replace professional legal advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for penalties, audits, or losses resulting from inaccurate data submitted by you or your authorized users.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate service with written notice. Upon termination, you may request an export of your compliance records within the retention period described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
